Off-season stays in Cap-Ferret: June, September and the holidays

Cap-Ferret is about much more than July and August. Before and after peak season, the peninsula slows down: quiet cycle paths, vast beaches almost to yourself, golden light over the Basin. June: summer before summer

In June, days are long and nature is at its best. The ocean beaches, about 5 minutes by bike from the villa, are much less crowded than in midsummer, and traffic on the peninsula flows more easily. It is a great time for a family reunion, a birthday or a week with friends before the school holidays. The heated pool lets you fully enjoy the garden even when the ocean is still cool.

September: the gentle late season

September is often considered one of the most beautiful months on the Arcachon Basin. The ocean has warmed all summer, the atmosphere becomes local again and oysters are enjoyed without the queues. It is the time for long bike rides through the pine forest, sunsets over the ocean and dinners on the wooden deck. For families without school-age children or groups of friends, it is an ideal period.

Year-end holidays by the fire

Spending Christmas or New Year in Cap-Ferret means choosing a different setting: wind-swept beaches, changing skies over the Basin, seasonal oysters for the festive meal.
